Arts Council of Southeast Missouri

The Visual Arts Co-op will have new work, and Don Greenwood and Thomas Melvin will have featured exhibits. Greenwood will show T-shirt designs he's drawn over the years. Melvin paints murals, including work on the "Mississippi River Tales" and will have work on display. See more work from both men during the reception from 5 to 9 p.m.

Crisp Museum, River Campus

The closing reception of Chris Wubbena's "speaking while listening" installation will include an artist talk at 6 p.m. Reception from 4 to 8 p.m. The River Campus will also host a reception for Jerry Ford's book, "The Gordonville Grove: Stories of Tombstones, Tambourines and Tammany Hall" from 3 to 6 p.m.

Guest artists for September are Lee Ann and Clint Halstead. Lee Ann operates a studio and frame shop and will display still life oil paintings while Clint will show his wood carvings in relief, caricature and wood-spirits.
