The upstairs banquet hall will host tattoo art from the body artists at Fleshhound Tattoo Studio. They will have art hung and tattoo portfolios on display.

Glass artist Jim Braun from Ironton, Mo., will do live demonstrations and take special orders during the reception from 6 to 9 p.m. Doug Rees will play in the garden from 8 to 10 p.m.

Danea Johnson's images from her recent mission trip to Africa will be displayed during a reception from 5 to 9 p.m.

Arts Council of Southeast Missouri

The Visual Arts Co-op will have new work, and Don Greenwood and Thomas Melvin will have featured exhibits. Greenwood will show T-shirt designs he's drawn over the years. Melvin paints murals, including work on the "Mississippi River Tales" and will have work on display. See more work from both men during the reception from 5 to 9 p.m.

Crisp Museum, River Campus

The closing reception of Chris Wubbena's "speaking while listening" installation will include an artist talk at 6 p.m. Reception from 4 to 8 p.m. The River Campus will also host a reception for Jerry Ford's book, "The Gordonville Grove: Stories of Tombstones, Tambourines and Tammany Hall" from 3 to 6 p.m.

O'Tenem Gallery

Guest artists for September are Lee Ann and Clint Halstead. Lee Ann operates a studio and frame shop and will display still life oil paintings while Clint will show his wood carvings in relief, caricature and wood-spirits.

The gallery will be showing new work by Philadelphia artist Bernard Katz, who specializes in large glass abstract sculptures. One of five original pieces by Jeffrey P'an will also be on display. Reception from 5 to 9 p.m.
