The Arts Council will continue its exhibition of the Visual Artist Cooperative's 14th annual Three-Gallery Exhibition. At 6:30 p.m., it also will host a special preview of "Spring into Dance." The full performance will feature students with original choreography by Southeast Missouri State University faculty and guest and student artists at the River Campus Bedell Performance Hall from April 14 to 17.

Gallery of Inspiration is a consumer-operated gallery sponsored by Community Counseling Center's Foundation Board. All the artists are consumers also and can display their artwork free of a hanging fee, and when they sell their artwork, they receive 100 percent of the sale. The Gallery of Inspiration also is an avenue to fight the stigma associated with mental illness.

The annual Juried Student Exhibition will be on display today through April 24. Work was selected by juror Ron Fondaw, professional artist and professor of sculpture at Washington University in St. Louis. An opening reception will be from 4 to 8 p.m. and is open to the public. The award ceremony will begin at 4:30 p.m. in the Glenn Convocation Center.

The Salon de Refuses will be on display today through April 14 and features additional work created by Southeast Missouri State University student artists in ceramics, digital art, drawing, fibers, graphic design/illustration, painting, printmaking, sculpture and foundations courses. "Piezoelectricise," a multifaceted exhibition, will be on display starting today. The exhibition will feature the work of an intimate collection of faculty, alumni and current students representing the explorative and cross-collaborative nature of an artistic environment. Artists Emily Denlinger, Zack Tucker, LeeAnn Luebers, Chris Beaty and Joshua Newth explore this multilayered concept through diverse aesthetic and media platforms. The Gallery: Catapult's Student Studios will host a spring exhibition, "Point Unit," in April, featuring the work of 11 student artist from the Southeast Missouri State University Department of Art. An exhibition reception will be from 5 to 9 p.m. on Catapult's second floor.
Artists Bradley Phillips and Liz Bayan will show their collaborative exhibition, "Disrupt/Connect," beginning today.
A reception is scheduled for 5 to 9 p.m. in the gallery. During that time, visitors are welcome to tour the entire Catapult facility, including the upstairs studios for Southeast Department of Art students.
The Shoppe: In connection with the "Point Unit" exhibition, there will be a Pop-Up Shop, which will offer visitors the opportunity to purchase one-of-a-kind prints, handmade jewelry, cards, ceramics and other unique works created by the participating artists.

The Glenn House will showcase local artist Marty Riley. A retired R.N., Riley is active in the Cape Girardeau arts scene as a member of the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri and the Visual Arts Cooperative. Her body of work is representational, primarily focused on creating pastel landscapes of rocks with moving water, but also includes commission pet portraiture and murals.
