I was really looking forward to seeing "The Brothers Grimm" this weekend, and left the theater disappointed.

It was the longest hour and 58 minutes that I've spent in years.

This movie was boring and unimpressive. It actually begins well, but within the first 30 minutes of the film, it slows to a crawl and remains that way throughout.

The characters had such bad French accents I found myself asking "What did he say?" several times. The storyline for this movie is based on several childhood fairy tales rolled into one. Its entertainment value leaves a lot to be desired. I wouldn't recommend this movie.

Two and a half stars (out of four)

"The Brothers Grimm" was interesting in the fact that it was based on fairy tales. I really enjoyed the settings. The time period in which it was based looked authentic. If you have a vivid imagination and like fairy tales, you should enjoy this movie.

It does, however, move along slowly. Patience is required for this movie, but I believe that the ending is well worth the wait.

One and a half stars (out of four)

I found this movie to be boring and difficult to follow. It did not keep my attention. I appreciate sci-fi and like all kinds of movies, but this one bordered on the bizarre.

There were some parts definitely not suitable for children. Those under 14 would have been scared.

I grew up hearing all the Brothers Grimm fairy tales, so I thought it would be a story about things I would remember from my childhood. In actuality it was overdone, strange and difficult to describe. The special effects were not that good, and the acting was substandard for these actors.

It was a poorly done 19th-century "Ghostbusters" mixed with evil spirits and could have been done so much better.

Don't waste your money.
