Three and a half stars (out of four)
I had not seen any previews of "Four Brothers" prior to watching the movie, so I had no idea what to expect.
This movie was fantastic. From the opening scene, I was completely entertained. I was laughing one minute, and on the verge of tears the next.
However, due to the violence and strong language, it's not appropriate for young children, hence the R rating. The plot also unfolds rather quickly, so you will need to pay attention.
The main message that "Four Brothers" sends is that family doesn't necessarily mean having the same parents, or even looking alike. It's about love and loyalty.
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie and will definitely go see it again!

Four stars (out of four)
"Four Brothers" was a non-stop, action-packed movie with extremely funny parts. It depicts a blended family of four adopted brothers: two white and two black.
It shows the love and loyalty between brothers, even though they aren't blood related. Though this movie has violent moments, don't be discouraged. You will side with the Mercer Brothers and their unorthodox quest to bring their mother's killer to justice.
It also has the element of surprise. When you think you have the mystery solved, the movie twists, keeping you guessing. It is packed with excitement.
"Four Brothers" is a must-see movie. Mark Wahlberg and cast excel at portraying four loyal brothers.

Four stars (out of four)
I had seen the previews but was still not ready for all the violence. I liked all the chase scenes and fast-moving stunt driving by the actors; it kept me on the edge of my seat and my eyes on the screen. The storyline was easy to follow and anyone who has sisters or brothers could easily identify with the four brothers' desire to find out how their mom really died and why.
"Four Brothers" gave me insight into how gangs work and how easy it would be for police officers to get caught up in all the corruption. I was glad to see that good can overcome evil. I was really glad to see how it ended. I liked this movie and would recommend it.

Three stars (out of four)
This is a movie I would probably not have gone to see if I had made that decision based on the previews. However, don't make that mistake.
The film is full of action and violence but the basic storyline has a lot of value. It is about four brothers reunited because of the wrongful death of their adopted mother who raised them when no one else wanted them.
In the process of getting even, these boys learn a lot about life and themselves. The audience gets to learn right along with them.
If you like a film with fast-moving car chases, an insight into how gangs work and how good can win over evil, go see this flick.
