I never have really liked flashbacks, but this movie does it with ease. The flashbacks never become annoying. They always make sense with what is happening in the present.

I also thought I was in trouble from the title of the movie, "Éthe Ya-Ya Sisterhood." I thought it would be just another chick flick that had a bunch of women telling the audience how bad men are. But that was only a pinch of what the movie was about.
