"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" seems to be the prevailing theme of "Changing Lanes," as Ben Affleck's and Samuel L. Jackson's characters chase each other around. While both men do a good job, especially Jackson, the story seems rather played out.

Some definite effort was put into the movie, but something seemed to be lacking. It was hard to buy all the unbelievable plot twists, and the multiple endings left an unfinished taste in my mouth.

The humanity of Jackson's character was very real, which made it easy to get wrapped up with him as he fought for his family. They should have marketed the movie as a story about a struggling father as opposed to a thriller.

Bare Bones Recommendation: If somebody invites you to the movie, go. For your own money, wait until it hits new video releases.
