NEW YORK -- After interviewing Hillary Clinton, Kanye West and Jay Z, among others, Charlamagne tha God is ready for something challenging: writing a book.
The ever-raw television personality and co-host of the syndicated radio show "The Breakfast Club" has a deal with Simon & Schuster imprint Touchstone for "Black Privilege: Opportunity Comes to Those Who Create It." The book is scheduled for next spring, the publisher said Tuesday.
Charlamagne plans to recount his rise from a dirt road in Moncks Corner, South Carolina, to fame through radio and MTV.
Charlamagne said as an English teacher's son, he always had loved books, and working a book himself was a "dream fulfilled."
