Chamber Project Saint Louis coming to River Campus

The Chamber Music Sundays at Three will host its second performance of the 2014-2015 season with Chamber Project Saint Louis on Oct. 26 at Southeast Missouri State University's River Campus.

The concert is scheduled for 3 p.m. in the Shuck Music Recital Hall.

Chamber Project Saint Louis includes Dana Hotle, clarinet; Kyle Lombard, violin; Laura Reycraft, viola; Valentina Takova, cello; and Nina Ferrigno, pianist.

Hotle, clarinet, holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and a master's degree from the Manhattan School of Music, where she studied with David Krakauer. She has performed with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonia da Camera, St. Louis Opera Theater, Webster Symphony Orchestra and the New World Symphony. A former member of The Equinox Chamber and the Cedar Rapids Symphony, she is principal clarinet with the Illinois Symphony Orchestra and a faculty member of the Community Music School of Webster University and adjunct faculty at Maryville University.

Violinist Lombard received his bachelor's degree from Indiana University and his master's from Yale University. Lombard has performed throughout Europe, the Middle East and the United States. His performances have been featured by the University of Washington's "World Series of Chamber Music," Ravinia Festival's "Rising Stars" series and KING-FM radio. Lombard held membership with the Goffriller Piano Trio, where he was featured on Israeli Public Radio and the Gateways Chamber Music Ensemble in a weeklong residency with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. As a soloist, Lombard has performed with the Savannah Symphony and the Sphinx Symphony, in addition to recitals at the MOJA Festival in Charleston, South Carolina, and at Southern Illinois University.

Valentina Takova

Reycraft, who plays viola, earned her bachelor's degree from The Cleveland Institute of Music, where she studied under Jeffrey Irvine and Lynne Ramsey, and her master's degree from the University of Maryland College Park, where she studied under Daniel Foster, Michael Treem and Ronda Cole. Reycraft has participated in the Tanglewood Music Center, Spoleto Festival USA, Sarasota Music Festival, Aspen Music Festival and School and the New York String Orchestra Seminar. She has performed with the National Symphony Orchestra and is a regular substitute with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. Reycraft is a faculty member with the Community Music School of Webster University and City Academy while maintaining her private teaching studio. Reycraft is an artistic director of the Chamber Project Saint Louis.

Takova, cello, is a native of Sofia, Bulgaria. She has recorded extensively for National Bulgarian Radio and made appearances on National Public Radio in the United States. Takova has served as a member of Kalistos Chamber Orchestra and toured with V.A.V. Piano Trio. She has also performed with the IRIS Chamber Orchestra and in master classes for Aldo Parisot, Gary Hoffman and David Finkel. Takova recently completed the graduate program at the Yale School of Music.

Ferrigno, pianist, received both her bachelor's and master's degrees from the New England Conservatory of Music. Ferrigno studied under Wha Kyung Byun and Randall Hodgkinson. She is a founding member of the Boston-based Calyx Piano Trio. She has performed with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, Boston Symphony, Boston Pops and the Boston Modern Orchestra Project, with which she was principal keyboard from its inception to 2007. Ferrigno has recorded on Albany Records her rendition of Lansing McLoskey's "Tinted" and featured as a soloist on the BMOP Sound recording of Elliott Schwartz Chamber Concerto III: Another View. Ferrigno is a core member of Chamber Project Saint Louis.
