Over the next few days, one famous musical member of the baby boom generation after another will play venues in St. Louis and Paducah, Ky.
The string of boomer nostalgia shows starts Sunday, when real-life guitar hero Peter Frampton visits The Pageant, on St. Louis' Delmar Loop. The band Down the Line will open, and the show begins at 8 p.m.
On Tuesday, Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh will hit The Pageant with his current band, Phil Lesh and Friends. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.
A little closer to home, and a little more toned-down, will be an Oct. 4 performance by half of the '60s folk mega-group Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, when David Crosby and Graham Nash perform at Paducah's Carson Center. The concert, titled "An Evening With David Crosby and Graham Nash," is being billed as "an intimate, harmony-heavy experience with two of rock's most legendary singer-songwriters."
