The Melroys will play at 8 p.m. Saturday at Stooges Restaurant in Jackson. The band, which specializes in rockabilly, has put out two albums; "The Melroys" in 2004 and "Walls Will Fall" in 2006. The group formed in 1999, and, according to the its website, has roots running between Chuck Berry's St. Louis and Elvis Presley's Memphis, Tenn. The band started a four-man group, but songwriter Randy Leiner died in 2005. The three surviving members -- Gregg Hopkins, Mike Enderle and Jordan Leiner -- keep the Melroys' music alive. There will be a $5 cover charge at the door. For more information or to reserve seating, call 204-7187.
