Patrick Rafferty is no stranger to seven- or eight-hour practices. The classical guitarist and adjunct professor at Southeast Missouri State University will play a shorter performance for the Sundays at 3 concert Sunday at Shuck Recital Hall.

Rafferty earned a bachelor's degree in guitar performance from Southeast and then a master's of music and the Graduate Performance Diploma from the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University.

Rafferty will play works by Ponce, Barrios, Takemitsu and Fruehwald with accompaniment by Gary Miller on harpsichord and Paul Thompson on flute.
