The Southeast Missouri Music Academy will show off its talents Sunday with the 12th annual Standing Ovation concert featuring jazz vocals with guitar, piano pieces and opera. The concert raises money for the Music Academy and partial tuition waivers for students. The students will perform pieces on violin and flute, and musical academy director Rebecca Fulgham and trumpet professor Marc Fulgham will perform a set of whimsical selections from "Animal Ditties," based on the poetry of Ogden Nash. The show starts at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Shuck Recital Hall. A reception with hors d'oeuvres, harp music and auction will follow at The Venue. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and $3 for students and available at the River Campus box office or by calling 651-2265.
