Best Bet: Bluegrass at the memorial
The Saxon Lutheran Memorial in Perry County is known as a cultural and historic site. This weekend it will host a bluegrass concert of seven bands, capped with fireworks. The Saxon Lutheran Memorial in Perry County is known as a cultural and historic site. This weekend it will host a bluegrass concert of seven bands, capped with fireworks. Bull Harman and Bull's Eye, CurreyKorn, New Blood Gospel Bluegrass, New Kentucky Colonels, LeeVon Decourley Band, Janie Brown and the Chestnut Mountain Gang and Charlie and the Girls Family Bluegrass will play the third annual Bluegrass Music Festival at the memorial in Frohna, Mo. The music begins at 10 a.m. A fireworks show is planned after the concert. Admission is $15. Camping is available. Jammers are welcome, and food vendors will be on site.
