The Jackson City Park band shell will be the place to be for percussion fans Thursday. The Jackson Municipal Band will be joined by the Southeast Missouri State Steel Drum Band for an extended concert. The Steel Drum Band, directed by Dr. Shane Mizicko, will play at 7 p.m. The Jackson Municipal Band, directed by Scott Vangilder, will perform at 8 p.m. This is just one performance in the bands summer lineup.
