Second chance to see summer's hits

Cape West 14 Cine will relive the summer blockbuster season with its "Summer Movie Flashback," showing popular movies from the past few months for $1 for one week. From Sept. 10 to Sept. 16, "Iron Man 2," "Shrek Forever After" and "Twilight: Eclipse" will each show at least once a day. Tickets will be sold the day of the show. "Shrek" grossed more than $236 million over the summer. "Twilight" fell just short of $300 million and "Iron Man 2" made more than $300 million.

Faculty recital shows professor's talent

Sara Edgerton, professor of cello and string bass at Southeast Missouri State University, will perform a cello concert with Matt Yount on accompanying piano and other guest artists. Edgerton will play pieces from the late Romantic period and the early 20th century. Edgerton, who is also artistic director for the Southeast Orchestra, performs throughout the U.S. as a Baroque cellist. The concert will feature selections from the Spanish Baroque influences and French composers. Faculty Artist Recital will be at 3 p.m. Sept. 12 in Shuck Recital Hall.
