Sikeston museum features regional art

SIKESTON, Mo. -- The 26th annual Bootheel Regional Judged Art Show is now on display at the Sikeston Depot Museum. The exhibit features 101 pieces of art from 37 artists. Barbara Ross took Best in Show with "Royal Caribbean" and awards were given in abstract, floral, animal/wildlife, landscape, portrait and still life. An awards reception will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday. The exhibit will be on display through Oct. 29. The museum is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free.

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- The detailed and realistic watercolors of Paul Jackson will be on display at the Margaret Harwell Art Museum in Poplar Bluff. The exhibit, "Watercolors by Paul Jackson" will open with a reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday. Jackson is a renowned American watercolor artist with honors and membership from the American Watercolor Society and membership to the National Watercolor Society. He was also featured in the Master Painters of the World in International Artists Magazine. Jackson's works will be on display from Saturday to Oct. 24.

Sing along to original high school musical

Cape West 14 Cine will show "Grease Sing-A-Long" this weekend. The original movie with the T-birds and Pink Ladies at Rydell High now has lyrics with it for the audience to join in with the actors. Shows start at 7 p.m. Friday, Saturday and 5 p.m. Sunday.
