The Arts Council of Southeast Missouri, 32 N. Main St. in Cape Girardeau, will host the third annual Member's Exhibit in September. The show is open to all members of the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri age 18 years and older. Twenty-four photographs that illustrate the Nature of Color will be on display at the Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center gallery during August. The exhibit is free and open to the public during the center's normal operating hours. The artist whose works are being showcased is Roxanna Cumins, a photographer living in St. Francois County, Missouri. Cummings' work is displayed throughout the state, and her blog can be found at cummingsartphotography.com. She is a member of the Missouri Nature and Environmental Photographers, as well as the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri. She is a volunteer with the Mineral Area Council on the Arts.
The Crisp Museum will host a welcome back Hawaiian ice social from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Aug. 26 in the Southeast Missouri State University River Camus atrium. The public is invited to turn out for a free Hawaiian ice. For more information, call 651-2260 or email museum@semo.edu.
