New talent show in Sikeston

SIKESTON, Mo. -- The Westend Empowerment Community Betterment Association will present a new talent show, "The Bootheel's Got Talent," at 7 p.m. Aug. 15 at the Albritton-Mayer Center, 515 S. Kingshighway in Sikeston. The competition is open to all area youth and adults, and prizes will be awarded. Tickets for the event are available at Midwest Music, 417 S. Main St. in Sikeston. Tickets are $5 in advance, $8 at the door.
