The Arts Council of Southeast Missouri will host "free for the taking" days from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and Saturday at 32 N. Main St. in Cape Girardeau. The Arts Council is readying to move locations and will be giving away art supplies, decor, furniture, kitchen supplies and more. Donations will be accepted but are not required.
A benefit in honor of Curt Baugher will be at 7 p.m. Saturday at Pitter's Cafe and Lounge, 811 Broadway in Cape Girardeau. Proceeds from the event will cover a memorial for Baugher, and all remaining funds will be donated to the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri. Minglewood Brewery will host a Kegs and Eggs party beginning at 8 a.m. May 28 at the restaurant, 121 Broadway in Cape Girardeau. The party will include a home-brew contest, a variety of eggs (deviled, hard boiled, scrambled and pickled), breakfast pizza all day, Bloody Mary drink specials, cornhole and hook and ring games and an egg Russian roulette match at noon.
