'Into the Woods' at Notre Dame

"Into the Woods," a production with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, brings together several fairy-tale characters, including Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood and Rapunzel, among others, will be performed at Notre Dame Regional High School at 7 p.m. today through Sunday. Cape Central presents 'Jesus Christ Superstar'

Cape Girardeau Central High School will present "Jesus Christ Superstar," music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, lyrics by Tim Rice. Performances are at 7 p.m. through Saturday, with a sensory-friendly performance at 2 p.m. Saturday, in the Richard D. Kinder Performance Hall, 1000 S. Silver Springs Road in Cape Girardeau. Spring into Dance this weekend

This concert marks the 10th anniversary of the River Campus. Five Southeast Missouri State University dance alumni will perform, and an original contemporary-jazz dance work by Giordano Dance Chicago artistic assistant Cesar Salinas also will be featured. Shows are at 7:30 p.m. through Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Bedell Performance Hall, 518 S. Fountain St. in Cape Girardeau. Tickets are available at the River Campus box office.

Jackson Reads on Monday

Bring a lawn chair, picnic blanket and a favorite book to the Jackson courthouse lawn for Jackson Reads!, presented by Jackson R2 School Libraries from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday at 100 Court St. in Jackson. Participants are invited to read with their fellow citizens in support of Jackson libraries. A book swap will be held, snacks will be provided and storytellers will be on hand.
