The 81st annual Art Show sponsored by the Woman's Club of Paducah will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 16 in the City Hall Rotunda, 300 S. 5th St. in Paducah, Kentucky. Two-dimensional works in any medium except photography are permitted. There are three competition categories: nonprofessional, professional and student (kindergarten through 12th grade). Prizes will be awarded for the three top pieces in each category, with best in show winning $500. Registration will be from 9 a.m. to noon, with a judging period following, led by Lindsey Maestri. An artist reception and award ceremony will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Participants are allowed to submit up to three original pieces, and the entry fee is $10 for nonprofessional and professional and $5 for students. Preregistration is available and encouraged. To preregister, call Art Show co-chairwoman Wanda Moore at (270) 898-3710. The show will be open to the public between April 18 and 29.
