The reception and curator's talk for "Works in Progress" at the River Campus Art Gallery of Southeast Missouri State University's River Campus have been rescheduled to today. The reception for the exhibition, which features the work of students in a variety of disciplines, will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Joni Hand, assistant professor of art history and curator of the show, will speak from 4 to 5 p.m. Student presentations will be made from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday and Feb. 26. The show, which is free to the public, will continue through Feb. 27.

Violinist Ching-Yi will be joined by fellow musicians from around the country for a recital of chamber music for strings at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Shuck Music Recital Hall on the River Campus of Southeast Missouri State University. Tickets are $10.

Meeting features talk with small publisher

Lisa Miller, owner of Walrus Publishing in St. Louis, will talk about her experiences as a publisher and the difference between self-publishing, small press publishing and "big 5" publishing at the meeting of the Southeast Missouri Writers Guild.
