Sikeston homes on display
SIKESTON, Mo. -- The sixth annual Sikeston Christmas Home Tour includes three homes and the Sikeston Depot with 15 originals oil paintings from Billyo O'Donnell's "Painting Missouri" book. Tickets for the tour are $10 and are available at The Flower Patch, Garden Lane Nursery and the Depot Museum. Day-of tickets will also be available at the featured homes. at The Depot Museum and other locations. Tours are from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday. Refreshments and performances by Sikeston's "Dickens Carolers" will be from 3:30 to 4 p.m. For more information, call 573-481-9967.
Sit in on studio concert
Be a part of the live audience when the folk duo Small Potatoes records a studio concert at KRCU the Southeast Missouri State University broadcast station. The Chicago-based group will start at 7 p.m. Dec. 11 and the session will later be broadcast on Your Folk Connection on KRCU 90.9 FM in Cape Girardeau and KSEF 88.9 FM Farmington and. Act out in Sikeston
SIKESTON, Mo. -- The Sikeston Little Theatre is holding open auditions for its presentation of the "The Music Man," to be performed in February. Those auditioning for a major or singing role will need their own music or backup CD. Nonsinging roles and jobs with sets, costuming, lighting and sound are also available. Auditions will be at 7 p.m. today, and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Albritton-Mayer Cultural Center, 506 S. Kingshighway in Sikeston. "The Music Man" will be onstage Feb. 19 to 22, 26 to 28, and March 1.
