ARound Town has December drawing

Octavia Scharenborg won the November drawing for the blown glass candlestick from the Edward Bernard Gallery in the ARound Town Galleries drawing. The prize for the December drawing will be artwork by Jeanie Eddleman with Cat Ranch Art Guild, displayed at Westray Studios. Patrons have until Saturday to get their paper stamped by all seven galleries and be entered for the December contest. Participating galleries are The Artist Studio, Westray, Garden Gallery, Crisp Museum, Global Cafe, Arts Council of Southeast Missouri, Edward Bernard Gallery.

The tune of Christmas

KRCU at Southeast Missouri State University has sprinkled the Christmas spirit through its regular programs. The special programming will continue through Dec. 31. "A Musical Meander" will air at 8 p.m. Dec. 25 featuring seasonal music and readings from children's stories. "A Christmas Carol" will air at 7 p.m. Dec. 24. "An Elliot Potter Christmas" will address the question of what to get a wookie for Christmas if he already has a comb at 10 p.m. Dec. 24. For more information, visit www.krcu.org.
