Arts Council to present Children's Arts Festival

The Arts Council of Southeast Missouri and Southeast Missouri Hospital will hold their annual Children's Arts Festival with a concert at 3 p.m. Dec. 10 at Academic Hall Auditorium on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University. Master Gardeners, Southeast hold sale

The Cape Girardeau County Master Gardeners and the Southeast Missouri State University Greenhouse will present their Winter Festival poinsettia, wreath and greenery sale from 8 a.m. to noon Dec. 9 at the University Greenhouse on Bertling Street. Show Me Digital Film Festival calls for entries

The Show Me Digital Film Festival is seeking entries for its third annual event, which is tentatively set for February 2007 in Cape Girardeau. The deadline for entries is Jan. 31. The festival is a competitive event with awards given by a panel of independent judges. Richard Peterson's book

Author to sign books at Barnes and Noble

Richard "Pete" Peterson, author of "The St. Louis Baseball Reader," will appear at 3 p.m. Saturday at Barnes and Noble Booksellers in Cape Girardeau to sign copies of his book, a collection of stories about St. Louis baseball history featuring famous names like John Grisham and Jack Buck.
