COBDEN, Ill. -- Five bands and four solo acts will take the stage at Fall Jam 2015 on Sunday at the Rustle Hill Winery at Cobden. Gates will open at 10 a.m., and the music will start at noon. Armbands are available at the winery and at Kiki's Coffeehouse for $10. Performing will be the bands Ditch Dog, Southern Soul, King Juba, Diamond Dog and Steve Hornbeak and the Mainstreet Players. Solo acts will be John Michael Veach, Kali Lynn, Dakota Cummins and Sarah Lannon.
Cup 'N' Cork, 11 S. Spanish St., will show "Ghostbusters" Saturday night. The comedy will be shown beginning at 8 p.m.
Area children will have the opportunity to learn the basics of drawing from local art teacher and artist Brenda Seyer. She will conduct a class on figure drawing at 4 p.m. Monday at the Cape Girardeau Public Library, 711 N. Clark Ave. The class is open to children ages 12 through 16. Registration is required. "Chamber Works with Voice" will be presented as part of Southeast Missouri State University's Chamber Music Sundays at Three series at 3 p.m. Oct. 18 in the Shuck Music Recital Hall at the River Campus. Performing in this collaboration of voice and instrument will be members of the Southeast faculty: Lori Shaffer (soprano), Leslie Jones (contralto), Christopher Goeke (tenor), Timothy Schmidt (bass-baritone), Jacqueline Wilson (bassoon), Matt Yount (piano), Nicholas Kenney (French horn), Gabrielle Baffoni (clarinet) and Sara Edgerton (cello).
