Artist to be featured at nature center

Artist Lance Merry will have a exhibit titled "Hidden Treasures of Our Natural Community," a photographic journey exploring natural history treasures off the beaten path, displayed throughout November at the Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center, 2289 County Park Drive in Cape Girardeau. Within this exhibit, visitors may "dive" underwater to witness fish interactions rarely seen, "wade" through bogs to see the best of orchid fauna and muddy their boots to discover the complicated lives of salamanders. Canton Junction to present concert

Dove Award-winning recording artist Canton Junction will perform as part of its "Get Your Praise On" tour at 7 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, 551 N. Westwood Blvd. in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Fans are invited to a food-truck "meet and eat" at 5:30 p.m., where they will have the opportunity to buy food and share a meal with the artists before the concert. The concert is free, but donations will be accepted for Sanctuary of Hope, an outreach of John Hagee Ministries for unwed mothers and orphaned children.

Tango band set to perform

Cortango Orquesta, a St. Louis tango band, will perform at 3 p.m. Nov. 6 in the Shuck Recital Hall at the River Campus, 518 S. Fountain St. in Cape Girardeau. The performance is in coordination with the Chamber Music Sundays at Three series. Tickets will cost $17 and may be purchased at the River Campus box office, by calling (573) 651-2265 or online at www.RiverCampus.org.
