Parents Without Partners has organized a benefit dance for Toys for Tots on Saturday. The dance will have a Halloween theme with music by Daddy Bill Sound. Tickets are $7 and help the annual Toys for Tots program. The benefit dance will be from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. at the American Legion hall in Cape Girardeau. The co-hosts from "MythBusters" will speak at Southeast Missouri State University at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Show Me Center. Three co-hosts have gained popularity since the Discovery Channel show first aired. Tory Belleci, Kari Byron and Grant Imahara help hosts Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage prove or bust popular myths like how to throw a bloodhound off a scent or if a bullet can really curve, among many others. Tickets are free for Southeast faculty, staff and students with a valid ID. Tickets can be picked up in the University Center Room 202, Center for Student Involvement or the Show Me Center Box Office. Tickets are $10 for the public and can be purchased at the Show Me Center box office, ticketmaster.com or Ticketmaster outlets.
The Diamond Film Series features independent, critically acclaimed limited-release films that may not have shown in Cape Girardeau. Starting today, Cape West 14 Cine will show these movies for one week each.
