Kyle Taylor will be holding his first art show from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday at City Church, 817 Broadway. The Jackson native sketches portraits from photographs.

One-day art store at Arts Council

Dave Carter will bring his art store, Dave's Studio, to the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri galleries, 32 N. Main St., for a one-day sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 1. Available for browsing will be Grumbacher oils, Liquitex acrylics, Windsor and Newton watercolors and a variety of drawing pads, pencils, canvases and charcoal. Those looking for specific supplies may email a request to liz@capearts.org. For more information, call the council at 334-9233.
