Glenn Whitfield and Patricia Whitfield of Byram, Miss., announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Patricia Whitfield, to Daniel Louis Rera, both of Annapolis, Md. He is the son of Louis Rera of Buffalo, N.Y., and the late Martha Rera. Mrs. Whitfield is formerly of Cape Girardeau.

Whitfield is a graduate of St. John's College, and plans to attend law school this fall.

Rera is a graduate of St. John's, and plans to pursue a post graduate degree in economics.

A June 9 wedding is planned at the Saturn Club in Buffalo.
