Werne-Gile

Joseph and Patricia Werne of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Marlene Elise Werne, to Matthew Morgan Gile, both of Columbia, Mo. He is the son of Robert and Jan Gile of Cape Girardeau and Robin Gile of Canal Winchester, Ohio.

Werne is a 2002 graduate of Central High School. She received a bachelor of arts degree in English literature from Denison University in Granville, Ohio. She is employed at the Daniel Boone Regional Library in Columbia.

Gile is a 2002 graduate of Central High School. He received a bachelor of arts degree in history from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He is a customer service manager with Wal-Mart Corp. in Columbia.
