PATTON, Mo. -- Rod and Patty Welker of Patton announce the engagement of their daughter, La Costa Ranae Welker, to Danny Lee Boese. He is the son of Mary Boese and Chris Boese of Chaffee, Mo.

Welker received an associate of science degree in office systems technology from Mineral Area College at Park Hills, Mo.

Boese is a graduate of Chaffee High School. He is employed by Rod Welker Homes.

A Sept. 18, 2004, wedding is planned at New McKendree United Methodist Church.
