Watkins - Meystedt

David and Kathy Watkins of Oran, Mo., announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Suzanne Watkins, to Jason Paul Meystedt, both of Columbia, Mo. He is the son of Lisa and Barry Scroggins of Jackson and Jeff Meystedt of Oran.

Watkins is a 2006 graduate of Scott City High School, and a 2009 graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism. She expects to receive a juris doctorate from the University of Missouri School of Law in May 2012.

Meystedt is a 2005 graduate of Jackson High School. He is pursuing a bachelor of science degree in business administration-accounting from Columbia College.

A June 4, 2011, wedding is planned at First Baptist Church in Jackson.
