Ward-Jones

SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- Cheryl Ann Ward and Walter Ray "Wally" Jones of Scott City announce their engagement. She is the daughter of Duane Wiggins of Advance, Mo., and the late Gonnie Wiggins. Jones is the son of Charles Jones of Calhoun, Ky., and the late Nancy Jones.

Ward is a 1974 graduate of Advance High School, and received a bachelor of science degree in social work from Southeast Missouri State University in 1978. She is a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Missouri. She is director of community psychiatric rehabilitation services at Bootheel Counseling Services in Sikeston, Mo.

Jones attended Scott City High School, received a GED in 1979, and is pursuing a degree in industrial technology from Three Rivers Community College in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He is a shift foreman in the production division at Lone Star Industries in Cape Girardeau.

A June 8 wedding is planned in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
