Linda and Vern Church of Sikeston, Mo., announce the engagement of their daughter, Brandy N. Valentine, to Kyle M. Bruce, both of Whitewater. Valentine is a 1996 graduate of Jackson High School. She is a unit secretary in the oncology department at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

A Sept. 15 wedding is planned at New McKendree United Methodist Church in Jackson.
