Brenda Stone of Scott City and Keith and Christal Thompson of Chester, Ill., announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristin Kay Thompson, to Christopher Dennis Hoey Jr., both of Cape Girardeau. He is the son of Christopher and Trudy Hoey of St. Louis.

Thompson is employed at Saint Francis Medical Center.
