Dr. Kirk and Joyce Suedmeyer of Kansas City, Mo., announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Sharee Suedmeyer of Columbia, Mo., to D. Bryan Ross Jr. of St. Louis. He is the son of David and Susan Ross of Cape Girardeau. Suedmeyer is a 2004 graduate of Center High School in Kansas City. Suedmeyer is a 2004 graduate of Center High School in Kansas City. She received a bachelor of science degree in education from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2008. She is a sixth grade teacher at Williamsburg Elementary School in Williamsburg, Mo.

Ross is a 2004 graduate of Central High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in management from UMC in 2008. He is employed by St. Louis Cardinals Baseball Club.

An outdoor wedding is planned July 10 at Cherry Hill in Columbia.
