Strong - Gibson

P.H. "Rock" and Dawn Strong of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Rebecca Elizabeth Diane Strong, to Gregory Paules Gibson, both of New Mexico. He is the son of Gregory and Chris Gibson of Jackson.

Diane is a 2010 graduate of Jackson High School. She received a bachelor of arts degree from Missouri University of Science and Technology in 2014, with a major in psychology and minor in business. She is a recruitment assistant for San Juan Regional Medical Center in New Mexico.

Greg is a 2009 graduate of Jackson High School. He received a bachelor of science degree from Missouri Science and Technology in 2013, with a major in mining and a minor in explosives. He is a grade control engineer with BHP Billiton in New Mexico.

An Oct. 3 wedding is planned at South County Park in Cape Girardeau.
