Smith - Metzger

David and Judy Smith of Manchester, Mo., announce the engagement of their daughter, Meredith Smith, to Mick Metzger, both of St. Louis. He is the son of Michael and Julie Metzger of Cape Girardeau.

Smith is a 2000 graduate of John F. Kennedy Catholic High School in St. Louis. She received a bachelor of fine arts degree in dance and a bachelor of arts degree in journalism from the University of Oklahoma in 2005. She is a marketing and special events coordinator at Notre Dame High School in St. Louis.

Metzger is a 2000 graduate of Central High School. He received a bachelor of arts degree in finance from Missouri State University in 2004. He is a financial adviser with Ameriprise Financial in St. Louis.

A Sept. 19, 2009, wedding is planned at Little Flower Church in Richmond Heights, Mo.
