Smith - Cuba

David and Diana Smith of St. Louis announce the engagement of their daughter, Katie A. Smith, to Robert Michael Cuba, both of St. Louis. He is the son of Richard and Rhonda Cuba of Cape Girardeau.

Katie is a 2004 graduate of Bishop DuBourg High School in St. Louis. She received a bachelor's degree in special education and elementary education from Fontbonne University in St. Louis in 2009. She is a fifth grade teacher at St. Joseph Catholic School in Imperial, Missouri.

Rob is a 1999 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School in Cape Girardeau. He served in the U.S. Army from 2006 to 2012, specializing in biomedical equipment. He expects to receive an associate degree in network systems administration and a bachelor's degree in project management from ITT in December. He is a medical equipment project manager at BJC Health Systems in St. Louis.

A June 27 wedding is planned at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in St. Louis.
