Shearer - Blattner

Robert and Jackie Shearer of Independence, Mo., and Kathy Wheat of Lees Summit, Mo., announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Wiest Shearer, to Trevor Charles Blattner. He is the son of Rick and Tracy Blattner of Cape Girardeau.

Shearer received a bachelor of science degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She is a third year dental student at the university.

Blattner received a bachelor of science degree from the University of Kansas. He is a third year dental student at UMKC.

A family ceremony is planned Dec. 28 at Loose Mansion in Kansas City, Mo.
