Bain is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia, Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, and is currently completing a residency in internal medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.

A Sept. 20 wedding is planned at the Heath family pecan grove in the Dogwood community.
