Pender - Miller

THEBES, Ill. -- Russell and Patsy Pender of Thebes announce the engagement of their daughter, Heather Marie Pender, to Joshua Scott Miller. He is the son of Scott and Cheryl Miller of Tamms, Ill.

Pender is a 2005 graduate of Egyptian High School in Tamms. She received associate of arts degree and an associate of social and human services degree from Shawnee Community College in Ullin, Ill. She is employed at Wood and Huston Bank.

Miller is a 2006 graduate of Egyptian High School. He is pursuing a bachelor's degree in wildlife and conservation at Southeast Missouri State University. He is employed with Scott Miller Farms.

An Aug. 14 wedding is planned.
