Odaffer - Thompson

Billy and Vicki Thompson of Columbia, Mo., formerly of Jackson, announce the engagement of their son, Corey Thompson, to Krista Odaffer. She is the daughter of Steve and Kipra Odaffer of Parsons, Kan.

Odaffer is a 2003 graduate of Labette County High School in Kansas. She received a degree in social work from Missouri State University in 2007, and received a master's degree in social welfare from the University of Kansas in May.

Thompson is a 2004 graduate of Jackson High School. He is attending the University of Missouri-Columbia and plans to become a helicopter pilot. He is a member of the National Guard and served in active duty in Iraq.

A June 14 wedding is planned at Christ's Church of Oronogo in Oronogo, Mo.
