Nelson-Weinkein

Steve and Terry Nelson of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Kathryn Nelson, to Justin Jerome Weinkein. He is the son of Jerry and Wilma Weinkein of Perryville, Mo.

Nelson is a 2001 graduate of Central High School. She is pursuing a degree in early childhood education at Southeast Missouri State University. She is employed at Southeast University and Commercial Mail Services Inc.

Weinkein is a 2001 graduate of St. Vincent de Paul High School in Perryville. He is pursuing a degree in criminal justice at Southeast. He is employed at Commercial Mail Services Inc.

An Oct. 23 wedding is planned at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville.
