Nagel - O'Connell

Greg and Sharon Nagel of Burfordville announce the engagement of their daughter, Jillian Alyssa Nagel, to Ethan Vaughn O'Connell, both of Gordonville. He is the son of Josh and Carla Southard of Jackson and Chris O'Connell of Cape Girardeau.

Jillian is a 2007 graduate of Jackson High School. She received a master's degree in speech/language pathology in May 2013. She is a speech therapist with Benchmark Healthcare.

Ethan is a 2008 graduate of Jackson High School. He is employed at East Perry Lumber Co. in Frohna, Mo.

A Sept. 6 wedding is planned at St. Mary's Cathedral in Cape Girardeau.
