McNeely - Schermann

Daryl and Nancy McNeely of Jackson announce the engagement of their daughter, Leslie Kate McNeely, to Clayton Schmuke Schermann, both of New Orleans, La. He is the son of Paul and Sarah Schermann of Cape Girardeau.

McNeely is a 2005 graduate of Jackson High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Southeast Missouri State University in 2009. She expects to receive a master of nursing in nurse anesthesia from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans in 2014.

Schermann is a 2004 graduate of Central High School. He received a bachelor of journalism from the University of Missouri in 2008. He is a project manager with Zehnder Communications in New Orleans.

A Dec. 31 wedding is planned at Centenary United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau.
