Gary and Cynthia McCormick of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Amber McCormick, to Matthew Gossage, both of St. Louis. Gary and Cynthia McCormick of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Amber McCormick, to Matthew Gossage, both of St. Louis. He is the son of Jerald and Cynthia Sims of Carterville, Ill., and Charles Gossage of Murphysboro, Ill.

McCormick is a 2000 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. She expects to graduate in 2005 from the University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Optometry.
