Lichtenegger - Simmons

James and Gail Lichtenegger of Jackson announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Lichtenegger, to Staff Sgt. James Edward Simmons. He is the son of Jody Simmons and Jimmy LaGrone of Cape Girardeau.

Lichtenegger is a 2003 graduate of Jackson High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Southeast Missouri State University in 2008. She expects to receive a master's degree in business administration from the university in May 2010.

Simmons is a 2002 graduate of Jackson High School. He has served five years in the U.S. Army with tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. He is currently serving with the 1st Armored Division in Baumholder, Germany.

A June 21 wedding is planned at St. John's Lutheran Church in Pocahontas.
