Leimer-Thornburgh

Linda and Jerry Mowery of Dutchtown and David and Frances Leimer of Jackson announce the engagement of their daughter, Caroline Leimer, to Robert Thornburgh, both of Jackson. He is the son of Richard and Deborah Thornburgh of Chaffee, Mo.

Leimer is a 1998 graduate of Jackson High School. She is a 2003 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, and is pursuing a master's degree at Southeast. She is a mathematics teacher at Sikeston High School in Sikeston, Mo.

Thornburgh is a 1998 graduate of Zalma High School. He is pursuing a bachelor's degree in social work at Southeast. He is a children's psychiatric care supervisor at Cottonwood Residential Treatment Center.

An Oct. 20 wedding is planned at New McKendree United Methodist Church.
